With 2934 at Holstein-Stadion, fans were pleased to witness a 37-7 victory from the Hurricanes. Before the game started fans greeted the Canes Riadh Arfaoui and Michael Andrew (6.8.) with a "Happy Birthday" serenade.At the beginning of the game the Canes needed two drives in order to warm up again. But then Lansana Teuber brought his team ahead again with an interception in possession of the ball, and shortly thereafter was running back Michael Andrew scored the first touchdown of the game. Julian Dohrendorf kicked the extra point for 7-0 lead. While the Lions had Punted again, the Hurricanes took the two plays to score. A pass to Julian Dohrendorf from quarterback Jeff Welsh for a 29 yard touchdown catch.
In the second quarter to Aaron Love scored a 25-yard pass by Jeff Welsh began. The next drive again, it was Julian Dohrendorf who reached the end zone. A 63 yard, reception made the score 28:0. The last drive of the 1st half for Lions was ended when linebacker Efe Evwaraye returned a botched punt for 40 yards back to the Lions 7 yard line. Philip Jareschewski 7 yardpass from Jeff Welsh, made the score 34-0. The PAT flew wide right past the Hurricanes so the Hurricanes went into halftime with a 34-0 lead.
After a long drive, in which Oliver Schlüter resulted in between with a 22-yard run as quarterback the Canes in the Redzone, the Kiel tried a field goal, but that failed.
In the fourth quarter of Brunswick's Austin Scott finally managed a touchdown. The American played in the GFL last year. A few minutes before the end of the game scored Julian Dohrendorf made a 28-yard field goal to make 37:7 the final score.
